Somatic therapy is a form of body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body using both talk-therapy and the shifting of attention to physical sensations to relieve any physiological, emotional or spiritual symptom.
Accessing emotional difficulties by bringing our attention to the way they are experienced in the body and shifting them through the body is a powerful tool for both relief from, and introduction of resources. Somatic Therapy is an important part of speaking the language of the Subconscious Mind (which affects 95% of our daily life) and creating meaningful and permanent change on a root level.
In our work together, you will often be guided to bring your attention into your body and gently explore the physical sensations that are expressed by your Subconscious Mind. This is a powerful tool for bypassing the conscious stories and default reactions that have been keeping you stuck in old unhealthy patterns.
